188 Pill Bottles in Annapolis

By Emily Scarr
State Director

Time is running out for legislators to pass a bill to keep antibiotics working. On Tuesday, we lead a group to Annapolis to educate legislators about this important bill.

Together, we dropped off 188 pill bottles filled with lifesavers to every office in the Maryland General Assembly to urge them to vote yes on SB 607 and HB 829! Our pill bottles got a lot of people’s attention and it was a great success!

23,000 people die in the United State every year from antibiotic resistant infections.

Representatives from  the Maryland Campaign to Keep Antibiotics Working, including Maryland PIRG, Maryland PIRG Students, NRDC, the Maryland Public Health Association, the Maryland Environmental Health Network, and Maryland Clean Water Action team up to deliver an important message to legislators.
