Mercer joined Maryland PIRG in August 2010 as an Associate in the fellowship program. Mercer will spend the majority of her time on Maryland PIRG’s energy efficiency program, focusing on outreach to small business owners and working with coalition partners to push through energy efficiency initiatives. Her prior experience includes research on environmental justice issues and most recently she worked on Maryland PIRG’s campaign to close corporate tax loopholes. She graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in June 2010.
